Batman (the dark knight)

an urban legend. a man. a myth. the dark knight. a character created by illustrator Bob Kane, batman is one of the most enduring pop culture icons. the whole premise of this dark vigilante is not only phenomenal its damn cool. think about it; Bruce Wayne; a millionaire playboy by day and Batman, grim, gizmo and gadget wielding crime fighter by night.

what makes this character so cool. first of all he is one of the most realistic heroes. he has no super powers. what he does have is a ton load of money, years of martial arts training, a utility belt and a mind like a steel trap. if we could imagine a masked comic book hero in real life it would be Batman.







ever since the 1989 batman movie was released there have been numerous incarnations.
there was "Batman forever", "Batman & Robin" and most recently "Batman begins". Batman forever was a bit too over the top with Jim Carey's over acting. In Batman & Robin, George Clooney made Batman look like a bloody circus clown; he had to go. but now...now we have Christian Bale and this guy seems to know what makes the character tick. finally we get to see Batman as he really is...a Dark Knight.
